On any given day in Schenectady
County, you can see a show at one of the finest restored vaudeville theaters
in the country, stroll through the other Central Park, visit a Dutch Village
settled some 300 years ago, pack a picnic lunch and while away the day by the
shores of the gentle Mohawk River, go for a scenic bike ride along a beautiful
riverside hike/bike path, eat some of the best Italian bread you've ever tasted
(Jack Nicholson's favorite), tour the first architecturally planned campus in
America, explore winding roads that lead to farmstands and country shops and
nature preserves, and even take time out on a really hot day for the best lemon
ice you ever had on a summer afternoon. Okay, we know you can't do all this
in one day.
So come for a weekend. Or a week. But be sure to come. After all, you don't
want to miss any of this!
