Lifetime Home Builders has been a concept for many years. In the mid-1970s, Gregg Gibbons began designing and building homes in Virginia. The concept he was developing evolved from his engineering education at George Washington University and the University of Maryland. The engineering aspect would become invaluable in the years to come.
Gregg’s future and continuing growth would take him to southern Vermont where he constructed homes for a number of years. The homes were moderately priced and had the advantage, or introduction, of Energy Rated Homes of Vermont, Inc. for his innovative designs and implementation of energy saving methods.
The family, wife and four boys moved to the Capital District in the late 1980’s and his construction business continued. He became a supervisor or project manager building upscale homes ($250,000 to $800,000) for a number of builders in the area. Here he introduced many of his innovated designs, methods and techniques he developed in Vermont. His ideas have carried on even further to his modern concepts for the new construction development on Wagner Road in the Town of Glenville. He is an active partner and participant in the New York Energy Star Rating Program.
